The coronavirus has changed our whole outlook on life. It has changed the way we interact with each other and the way businesses function. At GPS Moving Company, we have had to come up with new policies to reduce our staff and clients’ risk of infection.
Some of the policies include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting
We have increased the cleaning and disinfecting intervals of our trucks and offices to avert possible cross-contamination. We also do not use recycled boxes and containers to pack our clients’ belongings.
- Constant monitoring
Our staff is constantly monitored for COVID-19 symptoms. If one of our members has the coronavirus symptoms, he/she is advised to go into quarantine and is only allowed back after being cleared by a medical practitioner.
- Virtual assessments
We no longer carry out a face-to-face on-site assessment before giving a quote. We have come up with a virtual portal that works the same way a zoom video call does. This way, we minimize risk of contact.
- Temporary suspension
We have temporarily suspended moving services to coronavirus hot zones. Those affected will be notified, and at no cost, we will postpone and reschedule services.
